The builder

A tour of the Weblly builder — chat, live preview, page tree, and the top bar.

The builder is where you create and change your site. It has two halves: the chat (left) where you talk to the AI, and the live preview (right) that updates as it works.

Anatomy of the builder.

The chat

Type what you want and press Enter. While the AI works you'll see short progress notes and action chips (e.g. *Read /*, *Edited /about*). You can:

  • Queue a follow-up — keep typing while it works; your next message sends automatically when it finishes.
  • Stop it — press the Stop button to halt a run mid-way.
  • Attach files — click the paperclip or just paste an image; see Images & files.
  • Use Option/Cmd+Enter for a newline without sending.

The live preview & page tree

The right side shows your actual site. Multi-page sites get tabs at the top, arranged as a tree so you can see structure — a section page (like /services) shows its sub-pages indented beneath it. Use the desktop/mobile toggle to check responsiveness, and click a tab to switch pages.

The top bar

  • Save — publishes your current draft to your live address.
  • History — restore points; revert any AI change (see Reverting).
  • Settings — workspace name, custom domain, favicon, sitemap, per-page SEO.
  • Preview — open your live site in a new tab.

Changes are saved as a draft until you hit Save. Your published site never changes until you publish.
